Sashiko Privacy Policy

Sashiko is an iPhone pattern-design and stitch-guidance app from AE Studio. You do not need an app account. The app has no advertising, tracking or app-operated analytics service.

Photos and on-device processing

You choose the photos and screenshots to import. The camera is used only when you choose to capture a photo and grant camera permission. Image tracing and grid recognition run on your device. Sashiko does not send your images to Gemini or another image-generation service. Bundled cloth previews are prepared assets, not uploads of your photos.

Projects and local storage

Projects, notes, reference and finished photos, and stitching progress are stored locally in the app. Preferences are also stored on the device. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings.

Private iCloud sync

When iCloud is available, My patterns and library favourites sync through your private Apple iCloud account. Saved patterns can include an attached reference image. Project notes, finished photos and project progress are not part of this library sync. AE Studio does not operate a server to receive this information or access the contents of your private CloudKit database. Apple provides iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy.

Your choices and deletion

You can remove saved patterns in My patterns and remove favourites in the library. When sync is available, these library changes are sent to your private iCloud database. You can manage camera permissions, device backups and the app’s iCloud access in iOS Settings. Removing the app removes its local app data, but does not necessarily remove iCloud data or copies in backups. Use your Apple storage settings to manage retained iCloud data.

Sharing and external links

PDFs and other exports are shared only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet. That destination handles the shared copy under its own policy. Pattern source links open external websites. Those websites may process information independently.

If you email us, we receive the message and any attachments you choose to send so we can respond to your request. Avoid including passwords or sensitive personal material. Contact support@aestudio.studio for privacy questions, support or a request concerning support correspondence.

This website and changes

This policy describes the Sashiko app. The AE Studio website privacy policy applies when you visit our website. We will update this page if the app’s data practices change.
